Red Eight Gallery Hosts First Exhibition At Royal Exchange
Red Eight Gallery celebrated a very well-attended opening night of Panik’s “Life Laundry” exhibition at our dedicated gallery space in the Royal Exchange on November 25th. The event was an opportunity for many of our clients to join us in exploring Panik’s latest work and to view our new home in the heart of the City of London.
“Life Laundry” is graffiti artist Panik’s first exhibition in nearly a decade, and a timely opportunity to take stock of the unique challenges and rollercoaster emotions of the past couple of years.
“The work in this solo show primarily explores self development and the recognition of this,” explains Panik, “but also the intricate ways in which we humans interact with the natural world in the 21st century. The art featured in the exhibition will be a mixture of 3-dimensional woodwork pieces and large-scale canvas work.
“I haven’t exhibited in almost a decade, for one reason or another, but over the last year or two I’ve actually created more work in the studio than I’ve probably created throughout my whole lifetime. Due to the pandemic, I’ve only ever viewed these paintings in my studio before they’re sent off to buyers, and my following has only ever seen them online.
“It’s really important for myself and others to now be able to view my work in the physical realm, to create new energy and mark the times. After an incredibly active and bizarre couple of years I need to stand in a space surrounded by some of my most ambitious works, take deep breaths and acknowledge the journey.”
The exhibition runs until December 3rd, so there is still plenty of time to pop by and see the show this week. In addition to this exhibition, Red Eight Gallery has a full exhibition schedule planned for 2021 which will give our clients and visitors a chance to appreciate work from our talented emerging and established artists and mingle with like-minded art enthusiasts.
Panik’s new solo show will run from November 26th to December 3rd at Red Eight’s new exhibition space in the Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London. Please contact us at info@redeightgallery.com to reserve your slot (subject to availability).
